Yeah, my wife might not know an NCO from a VCO, but she bought me my 002r for Christmas one year and has helped or purchased other gear. I’ve given her camera and cooking gear, because that’s her deal, though these days she enjoys traveling more.

This kind of rare special occasion is nice. I get to feel bad for uber rich while being uber poor. And I'm not even being sarcastic. You remind me of friends of mine. Genuine friends. Friends who are generous. It's amazing though... money is not exactly the key to happiness of course.

Even I have a scaled down edition of the same problem. No matter how poor I am, as soon as I get some money, the ratio of budgeting to splurging becomes a living issue. And then I end up losing sleep over stuff like "hardware or software--hmmmm?" instead of "food or housing--hmmmm".
