Just a little side project I have for fun. Genre is rock. All lyrics, arrangement, music, vocals, instruments, mixing and mastering done by me, and in my medium sized home studio. Most everything processed with hardware, and no samples or VSTi's at all.

New single "Faith" (released today) from my upcoming album, "Home & Holding" (Out next month). Wrote, arranged, played all the instruments and self-produced (everything except mastering). We also did the video ourselves.

Vocals = Wunder CM7-GS M7 capsule.

Here is a song I released recently. I used my modified Oktava MC-012 into my Apogee Duet Firewire, mixed ITB in Logic on my aging MacBook. Mainly used Sennheiser HD-560S for monitoring. I think they translate well, but I'm thinking about getting some proper monitors. I did everything except for some of the harmony vocals. Harley Benton PB-50 bass with GHS flats, stock pickup which I have since upgraded, but it does the job. I used the KABIN amp sim, I think it works pretty well for bass.

I must say this was very satisfying to my sense of nostalgia. I don't have time to enjoy the duration, but definitely enjoyed what I heard!

How do you keep everything so nicely in the video game sound palette?

The idea for this album was to recreate what I THOUGHT I heard when I as a kid listened to Commodore64 and Atari ST music. I guess my imagination filled in a lot of gaps :D
For this album, all sound sources are "authentic" chip sounds, and probably almost all of them SID chip sounds. (from Plogue Chipsounds, Impact Soundworks' inSidious and SuperAudioCart). Just quite a few more "musicians" than what a little C64 could play at once, and then all mixed with modern tools and reverbs and stuff.

edit: and the "voices" that sing are all the old speech synthesizer models from Plogue.
