Data Cable is Cat 5e. Runs for computer data and several runs for audio. Specifically headphone distribution but several extras for expansion.

Started working on the baffle boxes yesterday. Basic build for 5 boxes done. 2 more to go. And then of course insulate, seal, drywall and install them.

It's been a lot of Fun, Work, Stress, etc. But overall we are very Happy and have enjoyed the process. My wife has been very supportive and that helps a ton. This is our second build and much bigger than the first. Take your time and plan, you'll get there. And research these forums, TONS of good information and some really smart guys here.

Baffle boxes coming together. Had some "helpers" this weekend. Now we gotta get em' in the ceiling. Good thing my buddy left his hoist over here. Gonna put that to good use. These things are HEAVY! Had to build extension off 6 of the 7 baffle boxes to fit in between the joists. Everything wrapped in drywall and sealed.

Well she's mostly insulated. Still have to add a second layer in the attic and insulate the interior walls but drywall is going up.

Made some progress with drywall the weekend. Still have a little more insulation to do in the live room and the rest of the first layer of 5/8". Then on to caulking and the 2nd layer. Had to put the old control desk in the control just for fun. It's so tiny, can't wait for the RAVEN. It's nice to see it coming together. Get excited.

The building is 30'x36'. 10' ceilings. With the drywall going up you can really get a sense of the space. It's really nice to see it coming together.

Got a little bit more drywall done the other day. Took some time off for the Labor Day weekend but back at it this week. So close!

Finally got the last bit of insulation in. Should finish up the first layer of drywall tonight and then it's 2nd layer time this weekend.

So I haven't done an update in forever. So here is a ton of pics and process. Probably multiple posts....

Getting some lighting in, built in cabinets (yes the corner area was treated with rockwool just didn't have pics). Framing in to get ready for the window. Sealed inside and out.

Painting the window frame, prepping with glazing tape. Fabric wrapped OC 703 to cover the gap between walls and acoustic sealant to secure in place. Window is 1/2" Tempered glass and 3/8" laminated glass. Laminated glass is pitched on control room side. Clouds built for the control and live rooms. 5'x7'x8" and 6'x8'x8"

Wall treatment for the control room, combination of 2'x4' panels in 4" and 8" thick some with internal BAD panels. We also added 10' height corner tuned bass traps. As well as Live Room GOBO's at 4'x8'x8".

And one of our Girls stopped by to visit.
