Audeze announces Dolby Atmos Head Tracking Integration & interactive artist workshops at NAMM 2024.


Los Angeles, CA - January 24th, 2024 - Audeze, the leading premium headphone manufacturer, is excited to announce the official release of the head tracking integration for their Maxwell headsets, expanding support for Dolby Atmos® binaural rendering at NAMM 2024. Audeze will also host interactive workshops throughout the show with Grammy winning recording engineers and artists, building on the growing interest in using headphones for mixing, mastering and spatial audio.

NAMM attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with legendary recording engineers who’ve worked with the likes of Beyonce, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg, Lizzo, Tom Petty, Metallica and more. Featured speakers include Andrew Scheps, Eliott Scheiner, Brian Lucy, Jordan Rudess and George Massenburg, among others. The full release of the head tracking feature for their Maxwell gaming headset for the Dolby Atmos Renderer is now available at Audeze.com for free download. Also, users must update the firmware of their Maxwell to version 56 to enable head tracking. This update follows last year’s beta release which added head tracking capability on Maxwell headsets, transforming them into an optimized tool for Dolby Atmos binaural mixing. Dolby representatives will join the Audeze booth on Friday, January 26th at 11 AM to give demos and answer questions about this new functionality. Audeze will be showing its entire lineup of award-winning planar magnetic headphones, including the MM series of professional studio monitors, made in collaboration with legendary mix master Manny Marroquin to be critical tools for audio professionals. The MM-100, the latest and most affordable professional studio headphone in the MM series ($399), is also a TEC Awards finalist for 2024, and will be featured at the TEC awards gala on January 27th, at 6 PM.


Manny Marroquin is a multi-Grammy winning mix engineer working with the industry’s most notable names, including Kanye West, Post Malone, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, and The Rolling Stones. Marroquin’s work has been featured on more than 250 albums as well as forty #1 albums, one hundred Billboard Top 10 albums, and over forty singles in the top 10. Most recently, Marroquin’s work earned him a 2022 Grammy win for Album of the Year with Jon Batiste.
