VI-Control and Mike's new forum (that you signed up for!) will be a lot heavier on the actual
music side of things, I think, but I'm hoping this subforum catches on a bit, too. It's still quite new, and not what people always think to come to GS for.

Hey thanks for that link to songwriterandproducer.net. I was dipping in and out of VI control forums and read that they were considering starting a site like that. So glad they did!
I just joined up over there, but still hoping that GS will get some traction eventually with our music theory forum here.
I'll be frank though, I was, and am, bummed that there was not one incremental iota of productive interaction on the rhythm and hypermeasures thread I started. Instead it was just a post expressing ignorance that such a thing could even be (?!).
It just seems so odd that not one single person was interested in how that meta structure of rhythm impacts music.
I'll speak immodestly for a moment... I included a great description and good resources. Crickets, radio silence.
Especially since rhythm is such an intricate part of today's music, more so than modes and doodads like that, I thought I could get some insights. Oh well, I tried. /Gripe
