Moog seems to be promoting something since about 3 days ago with subliminal messages, and I’m very surprised no one has made a thread about it. The Subsequent 25 was discontinued not long ago. But I don’t see a gap in their lineup with the Grandmother still in production. Anyone know anything?

Can you link to some of it? I don't see anything on the site. All I need is another unaffordable synth to lust after...

It is a hardware synth. And the word messenger is decoded from Moog’s Youtube Short. Rings a bell doesn’t it. Like a certain analog messenger of joy…

This whole video leak schtick is too predictable.

This short? Doesn't say much unless someone can interpret the symbols.



It might be a plugin, or something multitimbral and polyphonic, assuming this "whatever it is" made the sounds used in the video.

As always, I just want a hardware Animoog....

In this video, each symbol appears to be a letter:



The sequence of letters is spelling out a word.

Some of the symbols/letters are repeated:
The 2nd, 5th, 8th letters have to be the same.
(Because of the distribution of this particular letter, it is likely to be a vowel.)

The 3rd and 4th letters are the same.

Then, if you look at this new icon, on Moog’s YouTube channel:

it seems to make sense that these 4 symbols spell out ‘MOOG’.

This implies that the first symbol, the Greek key, is an ‘M’.
And the last symbol, the loop, is a ‘G’.
(The butterfly symbol would appear to be an ‘O’, but there are no letters O in the video.)

Put all these things together and the most likely solution to the sequence of symbols in the video is the word ‘MESSENGER’.

This word also fits the cryptic nature of the video.

I'd have to assume it's based on the Sirin as it was called the Messenger of Joy right?

Maybe some kind of desktop mono synth. But Minitaur still exists? So maybe its a Sirin with sequencer or arp or something to jazz it up.

Hahaha, if you got it right you win the coveted title of "Gearspace Investigator of the year"!

If it is indeed a new synth called Messenger, the connection with the Sirin Messenger of Joy is indeed obvious. Many people (me included) have said that a keyboard version of the Minitaur/Sirin, with expanded panel with full knob-per-function layout, would be an amazing monosynth.

In alternative, a 4-6 voice polyphonic Sirin would be equally great.
Let's see what happens...
