I am sure there are many of us who balance the production work with daytime job and family / personal obligations.

It is difficult to find time to be creative and to experiment, and I have been searching for many ways to fight procrastination and to try to utilize some small periods of time to get some work done. If I wait for that weekend to record a song, something else always gets in the way and eats away the precious hours and energy.

I am now about to try a new method. I got myself a tablet with FL Studio mobile on it, where I will try to make some beats which could then be further worked upon when I have something usable.

The other method I am going to try is keeping my laptop always on, with MIDI keys, speakers and guitars at hand. I am gonna try to utilize the 15-20-25 minute blocks during the day to get some work done.

If I get 20% closer to finishing a track, it is a win.

I am curious if some of us here have some "hacks" or at least proven ways to be at least a bit more productive on a tight time budget.
