I'm working with a band called 'Mirror Star' on a simple rock project and they would like to get songs mastered one at a time as the mixes are finished. I think we're looking at like 7-8 songs total, so whoever pulls through with the best master, I'll be finalizing the rest of the tracks with you!
Last time I posted in this forum with a project, I met a lot of cool people and got a bunch of incredible submissions and it was a great experience. I'd love to try that out again, so I'm posting the mix right here (with the permission of the band) so everyone who's interested can take a stab! I don't generally work in the rock genre, so I figure it would be helpful to find a new mastering engineer that may specialize in it!
About you: I'd prefer that the ME uses mostly outboard gear for his/her processing and has a solid room, but I'm open to ITB as well if you can get the sound I'm looking for. I don't care where you are located in the world as long as your master sounds good, that's all I care about. I'm looking for "the sound" and if you have to be a little heavy handed to get there, then by all means do what you need to do within reason. I would also like to hear a small sample (whatever you feel comfortable with length wise) of the track in question mastered by you, so I can make a choice between the submissions.
