My girlfriend is a singer and I built her a small home setup for cover recordings. It looks like this:

Interface: Audient ID22
Mic: Branuer Phantom
Preamp: Rupert Neve Portico 511
EQ: Great River PWM 501
Compressor: Cartec FE-Q5
Monitors: Genelec 4020A

Since my Great River PWM 501 is the latest addition, I would love to know if someone is using them for tracking vocals and the settings you are using?

Also, what is your go-to setting for vocal compression during the mixing process?

Using PWM-501with the same preamp and Great River EQ (Neve 511 and Harrison 32) I can say that this chain is awesome for female vocal. Maybe it’s so easy to go harsh with EQ, it’s such inviting to open highs more. But the compressor works outstanding. I saw some presets suggestion in manual, but never used it. Way more interesting to dial your own positions. And they can vary really drastically. Only two pots that I used to dial: usually setting to feedback side to approx 75%. And setting bass filter more than 150hz or so. Anything else can be very different, it all interconnected and sound bold enough to cut thru the mix.
