Curious, what are you using now that you find good enough? Just an interface?

FWIW I've been agonizing over converters for a while now, and it's delayed me in making music, I'm still a beginner because it's a hobby of mine outside of my main job but I've spent countless nights researching / trying to look up reviews because I wanted a "better sound"

My journey has been small though, I've only tried IK Multimedias AXE I/O (200$ interface) --> Audient ID4 ---> RME Babyface original (to get the super good drivers) ---> RME ADI-2 DAC

Now, at the beginning upgrading from axe to audient to babface, I swore I could tell the difference.

After getting the ADI-2 and comparing it to my babyface I actually can't tell the difference... I have digital out from babyface to digital in on the adi, and I switch headphones between the HP OUTs really fast, it sounds the same to me......

Now I question do I really need this ADI? lol

FWIW. I WANT to hear the difference, and it agonizes me I can't discern it lol
