I've got way too many granular/verb/delay type effects already, but it's safe to see Newfangled will bring some different enough to be worthwhile.
Haven't spent much time with it yet, but the loyalty discount makes it an easy decision.
One thing I'm confused by is why moving a control with right-click shows yellow, the same color as first echo, but it doesn't seem to have any function other than make me think the first echo can use different settings.
A few suggestions to improve future versions:
- Having
UI Size as an automatable parameter rather than a setting seems odd. I use Reaper scripts to randomize FX parameters for plugins like this that lack it, but without explicitly excluding this parameter the UI could end up anywhere from 50-400% the normal size.
-Wet/dry for drive. That way we can use higher values, mixed in to taste.
-The noise is a nice addition, but it's not hard to think of Serum and how much better it could be with custom noise sources. A setting for the noise to be pre-filter too.
-Allow the transient time to be set to BPM values (same with mod and spray.)
-The filter has no way to know what the values are. It should be shown in a tooltip, and ideally allow entering precise values,
including musical notes (for tuning resonances etc) I'd make a lot of use of filter presets too.
- Even just one LFO.
-Considering this is the developer of Elevate, a basic output limiter or soft clipper seems appropriate.
-Probably more of a v2 wish, but each time I click a point on the fancy stem display, I can't help but want to move each of them independently.
