I would have tried Five12 Numerology but unfortunately, it's mac-only.
They let a software sequencer make the list and an OS that changes one piece of gear into another (probably voiding any warranty on the hardware), but they don't even mention other sequencers like stuff from Analogue Solutions, Twisted Electrons, or even the Korg SQ-1 (which is a really nice budget sequencer).
Not sure where something like Conductive Labs' NDLR would land.
I also presume 64 Pixels' Noodlebox and Make Noise's 0-CTRL are too new to make this list.
Is that Yamaha one still made?
I do think they need to focus on what you can currently buy, but it necessarily doesn't have to focus on MIDI sequencers.
