Yeah, that works but doesn't stop the 'Awaiting Product Scan' which is caused by the risible NTK Daemon.
Another way is to just press Esc when it starts to scan at start up.
No, if I remove that it doesn't scan regardless. What happens is that if it's there it rescans any plugins that have been updated since I nuked the Komplete.db which it shouldn't do. I've informed NI countless times.
Maschine 3 works similarly, except it's now called 'ni-plugin-info.exe'.
Machines ability to handle VST3 files is beyond bad, I can't get a lot of presets to sound in VST 3, particularly with Twin 3 and some GForce synths. There's probably many others too. Some also sound different to how they do in Reaper which I actually trust to sound correct.
