I'm adding the DMX as a 5th summing option to my rig... I've been reading the comments in this thread from 2010'ish and just SMH.... For me, the DMX (e.g., Baby Oxford) offers the same sonics as the OXF console... the same sound Jimmy Douglas did all those big/wide sounding Timbaland records with...
With the re-emergence of summing, due to the higher sonics streaming platforms like Tidal and Qobuz can now stream, this DMX is a major score IMO...
I also picked up a old 24ch SSL Alpha Link with a Madi-to-Thunderbolt converter to pair with the DMX, I'm going to place all 24ch of the DMX to unity gain, and take advantage of the large/wide headroom those Sony converters offer...
I'm going to place the DMX to the side, out of the way of my rig, with the option to patch it in for mixing.
