I just tested this: source random LFO with speed set to 0, destination inst1 pitch. Works fine for giving each new note a slightly random pitch. Only issue is the LFO is unipolar so it only pushes the pitch upwards/downwards from the zero point. Only an issue at more extreme settings as it will give the impression that the instrument is just going sharp rather than actually random.

Got the Prophet X back out after having it put away for a few weeks due to moving some stuff around.

The headphone out has a surprisingly high noise floor that is not related to the volume, has anyone noticed this? I plugged directly into the L/R out and thankfully there is no sound but the headphone jack is really noisy and ear fatiguing. Shame to see this on a flagship synth.

I have it plugged into a UPS so I don't think it's a power issue, and I just replaced my headphone cable with a brand new OEM one (Sennheiser HD700),

Still happy with it especially for the price I paid, this is a minor annoyance since I'll primarily be using it with an audio interface but, still...

I actually just got my PX mainboard back from Sequential, for a headphone repair. The headphone out died and began making an awful noise that sounded like super over-the-top USB bus noise. Got the motherboard and PSU replaced while at it. So, it's possible the headphone chip on your unit may be faulty. I don't notice a lot of extra noise vs the main outs on mine.

Thanks, hopefully it’s not – my hearing is pretty sensitive and those headphones are revealing. It’s high pitched and does sound slightly like USB noise but it’s very quiet, only noticed using it at night in a quiet environment.

At any rate I got my audio interface hooked up now and the main outs are solid so I’ll live with it for now, my PX is brand new (so you’d hope most hardware issues would be ironed out.

I have to say I really do like it, I made a pretty useful score for a track a friend needs last night, I was a little premature complaining about samples because some of them are really good. Very happy with the PX overall

Do you hear the noise with the interface disconnected? If so, it's probably the chip. Just be glad it's quiet, mine was blasting as loud as possible when it died and no actual instrument sound came through. I normally use the main outs anyway, but naturally still wanted to get it fixed.

Yeah, nothing was connected except power and the headphones. I’ll set a reminder to check it again in a year just in case it degrades, I will get it repaired if it gets severe like you say., hopefully not though!

Loading some new vintage synth samples on it today for the first time, pretty excited to dig in further.
