Old Digital Console Hacking
Hey all, first time poster here
I’ve tried to search through the forums as best I can but can’t really find anything, so please feel free to point me in the right direction if needs be.
I’ve just come into possession of an old digital console - Yamaha LS9-32. It is mechanically alright and I have a plan for the fader boards already as they are working fine and are showing all the right results on my multimeter. My question is, are there any interface projects I could build utilising the headamp boards? They seem to be fine, and as they are coming from the board have adc/dac chips already with multiplexers. I’d love to build 2 16/8 audio interfaces but am not naive as to the complexity of that sort of project.
In your opinion is there anything else I can do with these boards, it would seems waste to just thrown em out; though it is an LS9 so not a total loss considering age and reputation.
Thanks ya’ll
